2: The upstream analysis
Carbon fiber upstream belongs to the petrochemical industry, first from petroleum, coal, natural gas and other fossil fuels to prepare propylene, and through ammonia oxidation to get acrylonitrile; Acrylonitrile is polymerized and spun to produce polyacrylonitrile (PAN) profilaments. Carbon fiber enterprises generate polyacrylonitrile by polymerization of acrylonitrile - based raw materials, and then spinning to obtain polyacrylonitrile filament.
Carbon fiber industry technical barrier is high, carbonization oxidation is the key. Propane can be prepared from crude oil and propylene can be obtained by selective catalytic dehydrogenation (PDH).
Compared with the other two kinds of carbon fiber, polyacrylonitrile is less difficult to process, and has excellent product quality and excellent mechanical properties, is the mainstream of carbon fiber.
