◆ Features
● Good corrosion resistance: Containing no reactive double bond, no saponifiable ester bond and very stable chlorine atom in molecular link render the coatings perform well in water resistance, salt resistance and chemical corrosion resistance. Besides it is not liable to be degraded due to atmospheric oxidation. The coat is resistant to light, weathering, yellowing and chalking.
● Good inner plasticization capacity: The polymer coating has sufficient flexibility without addition of external plasticizer, and it will not become brittle due to migration and loss of the plasticizer.
● Excellent solubility: It can solve in most solvents, including the aromatics, esters and acetones commonly used in coating production.
● Strong adhesion: Massive ether bonds in polymer link render the polymer coating good adhesion with various substrates, including steels and light metallic surface layers (such as aluminum and zinc).
◆ Main applications
Anti-corrosion coating-purpose copolymer of vinyl chloride and vinyl isobutyl ether is superior to chlorinated rubber and chlorinated polyolefin type polymers in performances, environmental protection and performance/cost ratio and may substitute for chlorinated rubber to be widely used in production of anti-corrosion coatings, such as industrial coating, building coating, container coating, ship coating, road sign coating and bridge coating.
